Wow, we had some idea how popular Sun Wukong was (from our first campaign on Kickstarter in 2022), but you've proven that wasn't a fluke! ☺️

We've gotten so many inquiries and requests since that original (campaign-exclusive) hardcover and boxed set sold out (almost immediately during the campaign), it took a while for us to discuss how to address the demand. One thing we DIDN'T want to do was stomp on the exclusivity of that original campaign with a rude reprint -- those original backers (including many of you -- THANK YOU!) deserve the prestige of being an early supporter. The new Omnibus Edition will be equally limited and exclusive, but different enough (on the outside) to make it its own unique edition.

But we also wanted to offer something that return backers might find equally exciting, to supplement their initial pledge without having to buy yet another copy of something they already own. That's where the (original, exclusive) resin statue of Sun Wukong comes in!


Sculpted by David Arberas, who has done a TON of great sculpts for us (including the recent FRONTIER figures, SHIN ZERO Kaiju statue, and a majority of our PLANET OF THE APES RPG and CARBON GREY RPG minis), this one is going to be special. As you can see, the details are amazing, and a testament to David's skill... he only had a single-angle 2D drawing to base it on!

 
Chaiko has started an adaptation of another great classic of Chinese literature, based on THE THREE KINGDOMS by Luo Guangzhong! This is another epic tale that will take time to properly adapt, but we're thrilled to offer the first part as an exclusive to this campaign!

Before you feel the need to ask: YES, this part is self-contained, but the underlying tale is much bigger (much like epic Journey to the West).

In addition, we have all-new stretch goals planned, several of which have already been unlocked. So if you are a true completist, there will be plenty to bring you to this campaign, even if you've already supported the previous one!

This is our first pre-launch Launch Party post -- we're excited to try new stuff this time around! There was some concern that the recent AWS internet downage might force us to adjust our target launch date, but as of now, all systems appear green for launch TOMORROW MORNING AT 9AM PST!

Not only are we showcasing the brand new HARDCOVER OMNIBUS and super-exclusive Slipcased Omnibus, but we're also pulling back the curtains on the exclusive new RESIN STATUE and Chaiko's adaptation of another 14th century classic of Chinese literature, THE THREE KINGDOMS by Luo Guanzhong!

THE THREE KINGDOMS is Chaiko's next masterful adaptation, offering the first chapter in the political epic by Luo Guanzhong. If you liked Chaiko's approach to Journey to the West, you'll love THE THREE KINGDOMS, which focuses on the historic events that led to the end of the Han Dynasty, and the rise of the age of the Three Kingdoms. It is considered a masterpiece of East Asian literature, influential in Chinese culture and beyond, and is viewed as both a literary work of art and a guide to strategy and success. This first 64 page chapter introduces the larger tale, which he is continuing to work on.
