We hope you’re having a great weekend. Things are coming together, and we’ve got some pics to share!

We got a “wrapped dummy” of the slipcase showing the final color treatment and packaging that the final omnibus will feature, and it looks great!

The book inside is an unprinted (blank) placeholder, but everything else is indicative of the final product. Each will come shrinkwrapped with cardboard corner protectors and a numbered, foil-stamped bookplate.

We also got a packaged “final” copy of the statue –

Unfortunately, we noticed a small piece had broken in transit, despite the incredible foam padding the factory shipped it in…

So they are adjusting the model so that the piece in question is a separate piece that will have to be inserted by the end-user. So each statue will come in four pieces instead of three. 

This is for the best, and the pieces assemble very easily.

Everything seems to be well on track for July fulfillment, as anticipated. We’ll keep you posted as things arrive and shipping gets closer.

 

In the meantime, we are running a campaign on Kickstarter right now for WORLDS BETWEEN WORLDS: THE GRAPHIC NOVELS OF JONATHAN NKONDO! It features an excellent set of books by an amazing animation director and artist who has worked on projects such as SCAVENGERS REIGN, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, LEAGUES OF LEGENDS, and most recently the new animated short film/music video “The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and the Sad God” by Gorillaz.

Whether or not you’re a fan of Gorillaz, you can’t deny the charm of hand-made 2D animation, and Jonathan’s creation of the “Moon Cave” sequence in the middle is a standout. As a sci-fi fan, I think you’ll really appreciate these books.

Happy New Year! I realize it has been over a month since the last update... that was LAST YEAR...! I hope it is going well for everyone, and that you're all happy and healthy so far this year. 🙂

The printer has been working on the books, and our 3D partner has been working on finishing the limited-edition statues... and they look GREAT! Check out these photos they sent to us yesterday!




They also sent this video showing the piece from various angles:


These will each come in three easy-to-assemble pieces: the main character, the cloud base, and the crown of feathers. These are all modeled with easy-to-insert slots and pegs, so you should have no trouble putting it together. As 3 separate pieces, it should pack and travel much more securely.

We are still waiting on images of the color box, but we hope to have that soon. (Unfortunately, we're traveling out of the country next week to meet with a bunch of licensors, publishers, authors, and artists for our 2026-27 plans, but we'll be sure to share everything we can from the road! Otherwise, definitely when we're back!)

Hi everyone!

Just a quick not to let everyone know that the smoke test surveys have been sent.  If you're not familiar with Backerkit, this is the stage at which ~5% of backer surveys are sent out as a subset to test the surveys for any questions or bugs. Assuming those surveys go smoothly, the rest of the surveys should go out this weekend!

We'll be sure to post another update shortly to let you know if/when those have all gone out, and where you can find yours.

What an awesome conclusion to an awesome campaign! You kept the "Pledge Train" rolling for 17 minutes of overtime! Thank you!!!

Now that the campaign is over, we have the fun task of transferring everything over to Backerkit's Pledge Manager. We hope to have that done in the next two weeks, so watch these updates and look for survey emails around the 21st!
